IFFH MedSpa – CO2 Laser Resurfacing

When skincare isn’t reaching deep enough.

Some skin concerns live deeper than a facial or product can reach. CO2 laser resurfacing is designed to create a controlled renewal response that may improve the appearance of texture, fine lines, sun-related changes, pores and certain types of scarring. But the right treatment starts with the right assessment. We analyze your skin, listen to your goals and help you understand whether CO2 — or another approach — makes sense for you.

You have been consistent. Your skin still isn't responding the way you want.

You may have invested in professional skincare, facials or lighter treatments. Those can play an important role in skin health — but they may not be enough for every concern.

When texture, fine lines, sun-related changes or scarring sit deeper in the skin, it may be time to explore a deeper resurfacing option.

The answer is not to choose the most aggressive treatment. The answer is to understand your skin and select the level of treatment that fits your concerns, goals, timeline and comfort level.

Personalized skin assessment • Clear expectations

What CO2 Can Address

A deeper level of renewal for concerns that need more than surface-level care.

Depending on the individual patient and treatment plan, CO2 laser resurfacing may help improve the appearance of:

Fine lines and wrinkles
Uneven or rough skin texture
Sun-related changes and discoloration
The appearance of enlarged pores
Acne scarring
Certain surgical scars, including C-section scars
Overall skin tone and visible skin quality

CO2 is not the right starting point for every patient or every concern. Your Skin Specialist will review your skin, health history, goals and expected recovery before recommending treatment.

How It Works

CO2 doesn't cover the skin. It works by creating a controlled renewal response.

CO2 laser resurfacing delivers focused energy into the skin to create controlled micro-injuries. That process supports the skin’s natural repair response and remodeling over time.

The goal isn’t to make you look like someone else — it’s to look like you.

The IFFH MedSpa Difference

We don't start with CO2. We start with your skin.

A patient can search online and find dozens of treatments promising better skin. That does not mean every treatment belongs in every plan.

Our Skin Specialists begin by understanding what your skin is showing, what is bothering you most, what you have already tried, and how much recovery time fits your life. If CO2 makes sense, we’ll explain why. If another treatment or a staged approach makes more sense, we’ll explain that too.

The Plan

Understand the treatment before you commit to it.

1

Analyze

Begin with a complimentary Skin Discovery Day. We review your concerns, goals, skin and relevant history.

2

Understand

Your Skin Specialist explains what CO2 may and may not address, and what treatment and recovery can look like.

3

Personalize

We recommend a treatment area, number of treatments and a skin-prep or recovery plan built around you.

4

Move Forward

If CO2 is appropriate and you're comfortable, we schedule treatment and guide you through prep, recovery and follow-up.

What To Expect

Real renewal requires real recovery.

CO2 is a deeper resurfacing treatment, so downtime is part of the conversation — not fine print. Redness, swelling, warmth, peeling, sensitivity and a period of visible healing may occur. Recovery timing varies by treatment intensity, area and individual response.

The strongest treatment isn’t always the smartest first step.

CO2 candidacy depends on more than the concern someone sees in the mirror. Skin characteristics, medical history, medications, recent sun exposure, healing history, lifestyle, timing and willingness to follow aftercare can all affect the recommendation.

Some patients may benefit from preparing the skin first, choosing a different treatment, treating one area before another, or waiting until the timing is better. That is why the IFFH MedSpa journey starts with assessment — not assumption.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is CO2 the same as a facial or chemical peel?

No. CO2 is a laser resurfacing treatment that creates a deeper, controlled renewal response. Your Skin Specialist can explain how it differs from lighter treatments and which level of treatment fits your concerns.

Downtime varies based on the treatment plan, area and individual healing response. Visible redness, swelling, sensitivity, peeling and other stages of healing may occur. We’ll review a personalized recovery plan before treatment.

Comfort can vary by patient and treatment intensity. The team will explain the comfort measures used for your treatment and what sensations you may notice during and after the appointment.

Some patients may pursue one treatment while others may benefit from a series. The recommendation depends on the concern, starting point, treatment intensity, response and goal.

The skin changes through stages of healing and remodeling. Your Skin Specialist will explain what may be visible in the early recovery period and when follow-up progress is appropriately evaluated. Individual timing and results vary.

CO2 may be considered for certain types of acne or surgical scarring, but scar type, age, location and healing history matter. A consultation is necessary before recommending treatment.

CO2 should be planned with adequate time for visible healing and continued skin recovery. Tell us about upcoming events, travel and sun exposure so we can help determine whether the timing is appropriate.

Because wanting CO2 and being a good candidate for CO2 are not always the same thing. The Skin Discovery Day gives us time to analyze, educate and personalize before you commit to treatment.
